Switchboard Operator -Per Diem Job in Providence, Rhode Island Us
The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including answering calls, maintaining and operating switchboard equipment, and dispensing patient information. Provides paging/beeper services, and serves as back-up for Info Desk Receptionist.
Required Education
High School grad or equivalent. Previous experience working with telephone switchboard equipment desirable. Must possess a good memory, a clear well-modulated voice and strong intetpersonal skills; must be able to perform job duties in an area where there are noisy conditions with frequent interruptions from visitors. Must use discretion and judgement in handling telephone calls and visitors and be proficient in the English language.
