SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION – SENIOR ANALYST recruitment
The Company
Our client is a TOP International Financial Institution who are well-established in Asia and are now looking for an experienced system administrator to join them
The Role
Reporting to the Manager, your role will be two fold: system administration and IT support. Your responsibilities will be:
System Database Administration
- Maintaining and administering MS Windows Servers, MS Exchange email server, VM Ware virtual servers, Blackberry BES server
- Provide operating systems and databases support and administration for application systems
- Responsible for hardware servers, Storage Area Network (SAN) and centralized data backup solution setup and support
IT Support Service
- Responsible for application systems daily operations e.g. data backup, submit batch jobs, carrying out day end processing.
- Co-ordinate end user IT related tasks for office renovation, relocation and expansion projects such as relocation of end user IT equipment, market data terminals, telephone handsets etc.
- Provide support and setup services to all market data services such as Bloomberg, Reuters and AFE.
Your Profile
You will have at least 8 years of relevant experience within a financial institution. Having solid knowledge and working experience in MS Windows servers, IBM AIX, IBM DB2, Oracle database and MS SQL, Linux and Sun Solaris is a must for this role. Knowledge and hands-on experience of network infrastructure including WAN LAN setup, routers / switches, firewalls will also be beneficial. Previous experience in providing IT support to end user support services within a financial company will be preferred. You will be able to work in a team as well as independently. Good communication of written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
