System Administration Sr. Advisor Job in Phoenix, Arizona US
Dell Inc. is a global provider of information technology solutions. We are currently looking for a System Admin Intel Sr Advisor - Citrix to join our team.
Experience and skills supporting Citrix environments is a must. Candidate should possess experience with Presentation Server and later versions in a large enterprise Citrix environment as well as GPO deployment, AD integration and all facets of Citrix deployment, implementation, and maintenance. Candidate will possess a high skill level in Windows Server Administration (2003 and 2008) with at least 3 years experience maintaining/supporting these environments at an enterprise level. This includes analyzing and approving OS patches and hot fixes as well as other OS configurations and updates. Candidate must posses an understanding of networking technology and expertise in DNS, WINS, and DHCP. Candidate must possess familiarity and experience with server hardware, firmware, BIOS, RAID, server backups, and server security. Must work well within a team and possess strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to operate independently in the absence of strict guidance to correct issues and improve the environment. This individual should be flexible in accommodating customer requirements and possess a drive to provide a high level of customer service, which includes working a flexible schedule that can be dictated by enterprise support issues. Must possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in enterprise level environments, being able to logically step through issues and troubleshoot problems by thinking outside of the box and being creative with your solutions. Must be able to relate technical issues and requirements to business issues and vice versa and be able to communicate these to non-technical associates and customers. Candidate may be required to work some US business hours. The candidate will be required to participate within an on-call schedule.
Qualifications
Required Skills
5+ years experience of relevant work experience
3+ years experience maintaining/supporting Windows Server (2000, 2003, 2008) environments at an enterprise level
Experience with advanced Citrix products in a large enterprise environment (EdgeSight and Provisioning Server are examples)
System administration and technical support of all Citrix systems
Must have experience implementing applications on Citrix Servers
Microsoft Terminal Services 2000, 2003 and 2008
Microsoft Server 2003, 2008
Experience with server hardware, firmware, BIOS, RAID, server backups, and server security
Knowledge of networking technology and expertise in DNS, WINS, and DHCP
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent research skills
Technical documentation skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Desired Skills:
Networking (TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP)
Scripting (VBS, etc)
Disaster recovery and business continuity planning, implementation and documentation
Ability, initiative and accountability to execute broad assignments requiring minimal direction
Minimum Educational Requirements:
High School Diploma
College degree (preferred)
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
Citrix and / or Microsoft certifications are encouraged
