Senior Systems Administrator (UNIX)

Pay Rate: $45/hr W2 maximum
This effort is being requested to install Novell Identity Management (IDM) Fan-Out on all Unix and Linux Servers. Then once this has been installed successfully this project will handle the implementation of User/Group Security with the Fan-Out Application. This project will put in place policies to make sure that all new user IDs are in compliance with CHW's ID and password standards, and the project will also help to remediate any old IDs. There are currently 177 servers that still need to be remediated with this Fan-Out install and configuration, which will affect 25 different Applications/User Groups.
Responsibilities:
Acts as a subject matter expert in the design, architecture and deployment of new systems to keep the server environment stable and interruptions to a minimum in standalone and multi-tiered environments. Conducts project management activities for new system requirements on various projects for deployment of business functions on new servers. Transfers knowledge and provides leadership support to less experienced team members in the implementation of new hardware, operating systems and other required software on the systems. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies and work with other professional technical staff in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development. Proactively learns new technologies to resolve any problems involved in integrating the new technologies with current systems. Performs Root Cause analysis. Plans maintenance programs. Recommends platform upgrades and hardware refresh. 10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Skills strong knowledge of System Administration and Operating Systems. Strong knowledge of Systems Hardware. Strong knowledge of Enterprise Level Systems infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Datacenter Operations. Strong knowledge of network technologies. Strong knowledge of industry standards and audit requirements. Customer Service, Report Interpretation,Team work,Time Management, Knowledge Management, Leadership, Business writing, Effective meeting, Effective presentations, Problem solving, Creative thinking. Undergraduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 4-6 years relevant experience.
