System Administrator - DIRECT LABOR Ability to monitor/administer the Cheyenne Mountain Air Station Message Processor systems is required, with preference given to candidates who have previously attained CMP qualification. Knowledge of the CMP interface is required. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve message formatting and routing errors, IAW ACP (JANAP) 128 and ACP 117 rule sets is required. Ability to update the CMP database is required. Knowledge of CMAFS communications circuits utilized by CMP is required. A strong foundation in the Communications Processing Systems (CPS) is required. Knowledge of Space CPS is desired. Systems administration skills, to include solid, fundamental knowledge of the UNIX and Windows operating systems, are required for this position. Excellent customer Interface skills are required for fielding, diagnosing and resolving problems related to the Air, Space, and Missile Missions and Combatant Commanders Integrated Command and Control System (CCIC2S) software and equipment. Ability to use Cisco Works for network administration is desired. Ability to utilize HP Openview for system management is a plus, as is a background in working with relational database management systems, such as the Oracle RDBMS. Familiarity with LAN architecture and functionality is desired. A Bachelor's degree, four to six years of system administration, system troubleshooting, and/or help desk experience is required. Experience in Sun/UNIX and Windows systems administration is preferred. Demonstrated work experience with Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) systems may substitute for a college degree. Must be able to work in a mission-oriented environment centered on mission availability and quick response to customer requirements. Excellent communications skills are required for communicating with mission personnel, logging problems, and communicating with hardware maintenance personnel. System administration experience using HP Openview and/or Cisco Works is preferred. Oracle database experience is a plus. Hardware maintenance experience is a plus. Clearance: Secret required, Top Secret preferred. Shifts are 13.3 hours in duration. Location is CMAFS.
