Financial Media firm is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator immediately.

Responsibilities include:
•Investigate and resolve software and hardware problems of production servers by performing the following duties:
•Answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming alerts, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance regarding production and development systems experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other technologies.
•Log and track issues using ticket management database, and maintain history records and related problem documentation.
•Consult with programmers to explain troubleshoot issues, recommend changes or build new systems.
•Call software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
•Write and revise commonly used procedures.
•Manage or lead projects as necessary

Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
•At least 4 years hands-on production experience
•In-depth knowledge and understanding of Linux (CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Server)
•Ability to support all key infrastructure services: BIND DNS, SNMP, LDAP, Kickstart, Postfix
•Experience supporting LAMP applications
•Experience with MySQL and Drupal CMS is a plus
•Understanding of and ability to support SAN and NAS attached storage (EMC)
•Ability to support Java application servers as well as Apache, Tomcat applications
•Strong scripting skills (sh/bash/Perl/Python)
•Knowledge of enterprise monitoring systems (Nagios, SiteScope, Cacti)
•Knowledge of virtualization environments (Red Hat Xen, Citrix Enterprise Xen)
•Experience with Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
•Knowledge of load balancing technology (F5 BigIP)
•Knowledge of Windows server environment
•Knowledge of and experience in application of enterprise-wide backup and disaster recovery strategy (Local and on-line backup strategies)
•Knowledge of PCI compliance issues (IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Testing, Penetration Testing)
•Ability to work independently on projects as well as part of a team
•Strong communication and documentation skills
•Proactive nature; ability to manage workflow without supervision
•Availability for 24/7 on-call rotation and response
•Willingness to travel to remote data center locations (less than 10% of the time)
•Ability to lift 50 lbs
•Ability to work well independently and with others
•Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects and meet deadlines
