System Administrator
We are looking for a highly motivated and competent System Administrator for a wealth/investment management firm located in South Pasadena. The successful candidate must have strong hands-on technical skills to help maintain operations and applications in the IT department.
As the System Administrator, you will be working with the IT manager in a Windows Enterprise environment. Current hands-on experience with Windows back-end technologies will be critical to your success in this position.
In this position you will:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills – be able to work with people of all levels and have the ability to work collaboratively with vendors and consultants
- Be hands-on in a two person IT department and have a passion for IT.
- Ensure all systems are maintained, monitored and running efficiently.
- Provide support to 125 end users in five locations.
- Maintain and test all aspects of IT governance and business continuity.
- Have a strong focus on controls, documentation and be detail oriented.
- Have exposure to network security and adherence to company policy in a regulated environment.
- Ability and desire to keep certifications and knowledge current.
Educational Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science field.
Must have a MCSA:2003 or MCITP: 2008 Server Administrator certification at a minimum.
Must have basic networking certification such as Network+ or CCNA.
Must have a minimum of four years experience in IT field.
Technical Skills:
Strong background and understanding in general networking, (TCPIP) and routing. Experience with Windows Server Systems / VMWare. Have a strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP, VLANs and Proxies. Experience with Exchange, BES, management tools, Desktop OS’s, Microsoft office.
