System Administrator, (Storage, Server, Backup), English, Permanent, Zürich recruitment
In this permanent role you will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:
- Managing application servers on various virtual environments (Windows/ESX/Hypervisor)
- Providing 3rd level support to the developers and application owners
- Installation, Configuration, diagnostics of MS SQL Databases
- Mapping, masking and managing the SAN (incl. virtualised SAN) environment
- Participating to activity coordination between the teams to solve problems
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Servers
- Initial experience in a Systems Administration role in a mid-sized to large company within a sophisticated IT environment
- Experience working on database systems (MS SQL)
- Expertise in the administration of complex Storage (SAN/NAS) and Backup environments
- Fluent English (Spoken and Written), German is a big plus
Having worked in a data center in an industrial environment would be an advantage.
