Application developer in the Trading Workflow team – with Asset Management focus.
SunGard Front Arena is a leading provider of advanced financial trading software. We service a global customer base of Investment Banks and other financial institutions like Hedge Funds. We work with agile methods and use SCRUM as our project process. The project teams take responsibility for the complete solution and have a close cooperation with the product owner which gives the team an understanding of the market needs. As production roll outs are included as part of the projects, you will have a possibility to work with both national and international customers.

Position Description
We are looking to hire a developer to the Trading Workflow team of the Product Development department. The group consists of 7 developers and your primary focus will be on financial application development and technical solutions, but you will also need to understand the business requirements. As a member of the team you will primarily be working with:
• Design and development of new functionality
• Re-factoring of existing functionality
• Maintenance of existing functionality
• Maintainability of the solution in the form of automated tests
• Internal support for other functions within the company
Position Requirements:

* We are looking for candidates who possess a solid academic background in software engineering, and who ideally already have some practical development experience, preferably from application development.
* Applicants who have recently completed their academic studies will also be considered. * Thoroughness and a willingness to learn are of great importance, as well as an ability to focus on quality and results.
* You need to be skilled in C/C++, and be familiar with basic software development concepts like client/server, object oriented programming, etc. Any experience of Python, Java or .Net would be a bonus. Technologies and tools used also include WinAPI, MFC, WTL, COM and Visual Studio.
* Most of all, you need to have a genuine interest in working with software development. But we also consider it a plus if you have a keen interest in mathematics and the financial business.
* Previous experience of SCRUM, agile development, automated tests and a keen interest in mentoring others is an advantage.
