Education level: Bachelors Degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience as system programmer/analyst
Main Responsibilities
* Creation or integration of system software modules ( servers, daemons, scripts ) within the existing product line or for corporate use
* Test and certification of new hardware ( network devices, storage, servers )
* Quality assurance and performance analysis of system and network software
* Documentation ( design and implementation )
* Maintenance and support ( upgrades and fixes )
* Software packaging ( RPM )
* Linux embedded systems design
Technical Skills
Operating systems:
* Excellent knowledge of the Linux operating system, including Kernel ( 2.4 and 2.6 series ) internals and networking
* Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP and related protocols
* Excellent knowledge of network infrastructures ( switches, routers and related protocols )
* RedHat based distributions ( packages and file system structure, RHEL )
* Experience in creating linux based embedded systems
Programming Languages:
* Excellent knowledge of the C programming language with Linux systems, particularly oriented to the network programming ( client/server )
* Proficiency in SQL,in particular MySQL implementation ( querying and server administration )
* Excellent knowledge of Linux shell scripting and Perl
* Excellent knowledge of PHP, HTML
