System Integration Lead/Business Partner/VP Level recruitment
A leading Investment bank if looking for a 12 months direct contractor - System Integration Lead/Business Partner to face off to senior infrastructure stakeholders (VP to Director Level) and provide consultative advisory on infrastructure services, integration, deployment and strategic capacity utilization. The role is a partner facing function representing the Technology Infrastructure Services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop an understanding of all Technology Infrastructure Services product offerings and how to choose the most appropriate solution to match the client requirements
- Produce detailed design documents including cost estimates which pass internal and external review without changes being requested
- Work with the provisioning team to ensure infrastructure is built correctly first time
- Evaluate the current workflow and demand to better understand resourcing and staffing levels
- Establish alignment with global processes for SI in Demand and Delivery Management
- Implement the global SI KPI's
- Collaborate with peers in each region to help drive continuous improvement in the SI function globally.
- Liaise with Regional (IT/Arch) partners and Regional Operation to ensure Engineering standards, design and architecture are fully optimized and meets customer requirements
- Gather business plans/requirements/roadmaps as well as an understanding of the application roadmap and drive solutions.
- Where certified standards do not exist, drive the engineering effort with Global team to get certification with global engineering head/lead on the solution to satisfy business requirement.
- Liaise closely with vendors and be abreast with new technology developments in the market and its applicability to satisfy business requirement
- Posses leadership qualities as this role would revolve around influencing partners and management teams in the region and global stakeholders excellent people management skills with a capability to attract and retain best talents for different roles in the team
- Input into the annual budget project process to ensure global product roadmap and lifecycle management objective are met
- Human Capital Support: Supports the Line Manager (LM) with HCP related tasks (Training, Promotion, Compensation, Hiring, Performance Management)
- Strategy and Execution Support: Supports the LM to achieve the overall team goals. Will also support the LM with the development, execution and communication of the strategy
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
- 5-10 years relevant (SME) experience in a specific infrastructure technology
- Ability to identify opportunities and develop new ideas that will lead to improvements
- Ability to adapt/change behaviour or plans to better achieve the target/objective
- Team management and building
- Experience in analysis and solutions development
- Teamwork and communication/ information sharing
- Understanding of industry trends and practices
- Experience with hardware server technologies, particularly HP. Sun experience is desirable as well.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and utilization techniques
- Thorough knowledge of virtualization technologies particularly VMWare ESX server
