SYSTEM TECHNICIAN


McNeil Consumer Healthcare, a member of Johnson Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a 3rd shift System Technicians, located in Lititz, Pennsylvania.

McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc. markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC and BENADRYL allergy medicines, IMODIUM A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN IB, PediaCare upper respiratory medicines for infants and children, ROLAIDS antacid products, ST. JOSEPH Adult Regimen Aspirin, and SUDAFED nasal decongestants. This role will support the manufacturing of several OTC products, including LISTERINE, NEOSPORIN, LUBRIDERM , DESITIN , and BEN-GAY.

The System Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting and efficiency improvement associated with PLCs, instrumentation, computer network devices, electrical and floor-level systems; perform design and installation activities; maintain and troubleshoot electrical and control circuitry for packaging and manufacturing equipment, facility, utility, HVAC and security and fire monitoring systems.

The Systems Technician will be responsible for the reading of electrical/electronic prints, schematics, electrical one-line drawings, and basic ladder logic and machine code. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical power distribution equipment. The individual will also support the calibration and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and measuring devices as well as the development, maintenance and change control of floor-level software associated with programmable stand-alone and networked devices. This individual will also provide technical support for Engineering Project Teams while assisting in equipment improvements, safety and productivity. This individual will utilize various meters and electrical test equipment, calibration test equipment, personal computer, pipe bender, pipe threader, wire puller, and various hand tools.

Qualifications

This role requires a minimum of high school diploma/GED and a post-high school trade school program/journey person (Systems Technician) who has either: Completed an apprenticeship program; or Graduated from a relevant trade school or its military equivalent or has a journeyman's certificate. 5 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting preferably with an emphasis on: automation programming, technician or computer science technology focus, PLCs, expertise in electrical/electronic systems on packaging/manufacturing equipment and control processing instrumentation is preferred.

A written test will be administered to qualified candidates. Specialized skills in one facet of job functions will not qualify a person for this position. Must be willing to work any shift.
