Systematic FX and Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst at a Multi-Billion Dollar Hedge Fund
JOB DESCRIPTION-
A Multi-Billion dollar fund is seeking a junior to mid level FX and fixed income quant analyst to join in London in a quantitative trading team that is currently trading currencies and futures products.
This person should be a self-starter, highly motivated, and hardworking, with demonstrable intellectual depth and curiosity. This position has significant growth potential for the right candidate.
The role will entail:
- Overseeing the implementation details of the investment process, including position vetting, trade generation, execution, and post-trade analysis.
- Continually monitor market conditions, drivers, and upcoming event risk, and understand their impact on the portfolio and trading. The successful candidate will blend practical market knowledge with their understanding of the group’s investment methodology to feed meaningful improvements back into the decision making process, including trade generation.
- Work with other members of the team to improve the group’s investment process. As the group is small, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to all aspects of the group’s business.
Key Qualifications;
- Strong programming abilities in C++ or Python
- Modelling skills in Matlab, R or similar
- Strong academic qualifications in a quantitative discipline (PhD or Masters Level preferred).
- Proven desire for career growth
- Must have intellectual curiosity and be able to thrive in an academic environment.
- Must be able to initiate and see through to completion significant and open ended research projects.
- Prior experience with quantitative trading strategies, or any practical experience trading currencies, rates products, and/or futures is a plus, but not necessarily required depending on the candidate’s other skills.
Experience is highly beneficial but those fleshly graduated from PhD study with strong research capabilities will be considered. Those with a master’s education must have at least 1 years experience.
