Systems Administrator Job in Allentown 18101
The Judge Group has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator for a 6 month+ project in Allentown, PA. The qualified candidate will have the following skills:
Responsibilities:
* Perform operating system setup, administration, and troubleshooting focusing primarily on Red Hat Linux and HP-UX, but secondarily for Windows OS as well as support of the underlying physical infrastructure.
* Work in a team environment supporting operational issues and project work for the business application environment
* Development and improvement of process and procedures supporting the systems administration team, including process automation where appropriate
* Must be able to achieve and maintain the required NERC-CIP, Nuclear Data Access, and other corporate or departmental certifications, training and/or clearances needed to have appropriate accesses to the environment.
*On call support 24x7 (normally one week out of five).
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:
1) Technical knowledge and experience with primarily HP-UX and Red Hat Linux operating systems and hardware but secondary skills with Windows OS is expected
2) Technical knowledge and experience with VMWare, ESX, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Citrix, XenDesktop
3) Ability to write and troubleshoot UNIX, Linux and Windows server operating system scripts to automate tasks
DESIRED TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
1) Experience with Centralized Storage Platforms including EMC Symmetrix Clariion storage frames, IBM XiV and IBM San Volume Controller (SVC)
2) Previous Project management skills are a plus
