Job Summary
IT Specialist responsible for Tier II and Tier III system admin duties in a mainframe and midrange environment. This position will support end users in support of a 24/7/365 data center environment. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem. Individual will be expected to provide technical advice and training to junior staff.
Essential Duties and Tasks
Perform duties in a multi-tier mainframe/client server environment to include, but is not limited to:
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Possess competent knowledge and skills in the use of several software/applications/tools in the mainframe environment (OPS/MVS, JCL, SAS, Abendaid, DB2, DFHSM, DFRMM, TCPIP, VTAM, CICS, Omegamon Oracle grid, and VM monitoring tools.)
