Systems Administrator

 

Provide technical support for server, PC and laptop hardware and software systems.

 

Associates degree in Computer Science or Information Technology field.  At least 5 years of IT experience including maintaining supporting Windows servers, PC and Laptops hardware platforms.  Experience with Hewlett Packard, Dell and Cisco hardware platforms and solutions.  Windows 2008 Server, Windows XP/7 certification or equivalent experience.  Experience with maintaining servers, PCs, laptops, mobile phones, printers

and peripherals.  Experience with software and hardware technical support.  Experience on Technical Support team as level one and level two support technician fielding support ticket escalation calls.  Hardware break/fix experience with HP Servers and laptops and  Dell PCs .  Experience installing and supporting Microsoft Windows Server and PC operating systems and Microsoft Office solutions.  Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.  Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and work well with others to solve problems.  Strong communication  skills organizational  skills

 

1.  Provide technical support for server, PC and laptop hardware and software systems

 

2.   Administer server hardware and software systems

 

3.   To provide first and second level Help Desk duties to ensure support requests are completed in a timely manner and customers are satisfied with support services

 

4.   Support North American Sales team; act as primary support resource for hardware and software solutions

 

5.   Participate on corporate IT projects and teams

 

 

Organizational

Provide technical support for PC and laptop hardware and software systems

   :   Coordinate PC and Laptop asset inventory list to determine equipment  refresh cycles

   :    Research PC and Laptop brands and specifications and makes recommendations for equipment standards

   :    Coordinate PC and Laptop equipment deployments wit users to ensure new users have equipment as expected,

   and existing users are transitioned  to new equipment efficiently

   :    Complete PC and Laptop software configuration tasks

   :    Provide equipment support services to resolve PC and Laptop equipment failures

 

Administer server hardware and software systems

   :    Monitor servers to ensure optimum performance

   :    Review system logs for error conditions

   :    Research solutions to errors conditions

   :    Coordinate with vendors to provide support services

   :    Coordinate  preventative maintenance and system upgrades

 

To provide first and second level Help

Desk duties

 

   :    Respond  to user requests

   :    Research solutions to computer  hardware and software problems

   :    Implement solutions to computer problems

   :    Logs cases with vendors to resolve hardware and software problems
