GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

·         Maintain ownership of customer issues and drive those issues to resolution with positive customer satisfaction.

·         Quality focus, result and goal orientated with a commitment to customer satisfaction

·         Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of workstations, servers and network components

·         Develop policies and procedures in-line with HIPPA regulations and guidelines.

·         Provide recommendations to management regarding emerging technologies and upgrades

·         Manage projects from start to finish in a timely fashion.

·         Drive the overall technology needs and goals of the company.

·         Work as a team player with the ability to mentor, share knowledge, skills and experience with others.

REQUIRMENTS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

·         Self-starter capable of working independently with little to no supervision

·         2 - 3 years’ experience in the IT field administrating systems and networks.

·         Ability to troubleshoot and repair enterprise level software and hardware issues

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

·         Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Technologies (Windows 7, Server 2008, Active Directory, Exchange, Office 2010, Access databases) – MCSE is a plus

·         Basic knowledge of network fundamentals including VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP, routing and T1 and how they relate to Microsoft technologies (Network+ certification is a plus)

·         Knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, and ASAs (CCNA certification is a plus)

·         Knowledge of Network security fundamentals (Security+ certification is a plus)

·         Experience with VoIP based systems.

·         Experience with Microsoft SQL server is highly desired

·         Experience working with VMWare ESXi

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associates Degree in Information Technology or related field of study is a plus

ATTENDANCE PUNCTUALITY:

Daily and exemplary attendance and punctuality is required for this position.  The work may require overtime hours to be worked to achieve desired results.
