- Substantial professional experience focused on server administration for Windows/Linux (RedHat/RedHawk OS v5.x and v6.x), inclusive of system hardening, system patching, backup/restore, system imaging, log management
- Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive work project schedules
- Demonstrated experience leading small projects associated with deploying IT products
- Ability to provide 'after hours' support, as required
- Ability to successfully manage priorities and work with little or no supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Disaster Recovery (basic principles), backups, and Risk Assessments

- Professional level technical troubleshooting experience (desktop hardware software)

- Experience upgrading server OSs, tech refresh, imaging, patch management, antivirus management, security certificate install and renewal
- Strong Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Administration experience

This Enterprise Business Services (EBS) position supports the Space Systems Company (SSC) located at the Lockheed Martin Waterton Facility in Littleton, CO. This is not a telecommuting position.

This position has the responsibility for the operational, troubleshooting, support and maintenance of the Orion Integrated Test Lab (ITL) environment. This position provides Windows/Linux system administration support for Orion Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), Flight Software and Test Integration equipment within a lab environment, including server installation, integration and configuration of the system, as well as the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Instructions (SOI's).

In addition, this position has primary responsibility for implementation and configuration of IT infrastructure within the SSDL lab that will support ground and simulation architectures. This Systems Administrator also has secondary responsibility for the Operational Architecture Document.

Specific duties include, but not limited to:
- Document, install, configure, maintain, and upgrade system software and products to meet the customer requirements and the approved vendor release standards for Software Development Labs.
- Develop IT solutions using standard engineering solutions and practices to support lab-centric unique prototype development environments
- Apply required security patches
- Provide software development support via online research, analysis, and evaluation of new technologies to better support prototype environments
- Perform proactive system analysis, system diagnostics, troubleshooting problems and initiates/coordinates repairs
- Determine root causes of problems and recommend strategies to prevent recurrences.
- Coordinate Hardware and Server-Side Software upgrades per defined change management procedures and negotiated with the customer.
- Provide support for DR planning, testing and execution (as required).
- Participate in Customer Reviews requiring server impacts or temporary outages, customer system (stress) tests, as required.
- Perform standard System Administration duties on Windows and Linux servers (RedHat/RedHawk), and Storage Servers,
- Maintain server security and compliance per Corporate, Space Systems Company and EBS policies

This position may also support:
- Backups, disaster recovery, building new infrastructure servers, installing and supporting server applications, anti-virus protection, and documenting procedures/processes/events.
- Leading a team of coworkers on assigned tasks and projects, either formally or informally
- Completing input on financial items
- Development of Basis of Estimates (BOE) and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates.

- Experience with the Telelogic/IBM Tool Suite of Eng Tools (Doors, Rhapsody, ClearCase/ClearQuest, and System Architect) as primary SME

- Provide coordination of cross-training and critical skills management
- Scripting (Perl,Batch,VBS, .Net, Powershell)
- SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, and 2008 R2
- Working knowledge of cross-platforms: Windows, UNIX, and Linux
- Working knowledge of Operations Manager
- Working knowledge of Remedy ITSM
- Working knowledge of Symantec NetBackup or other backup utilities.
- Working knowledge of Symantec Products (HIPS, EPO, MacAfee Anti-Virus)
