Tate Lyle, a world-leading producer of sweeteners, food and industrial ingredients, seeks this proactive multi-tasker to support computer hard/software and infrastructure on personal computers, laptops, thin clients, printers, scanners, and handheld devices. Responsibilities include the development/direction of business technologies and providing 2nd line support for incidents and service requests. Located in Hoffman Estates, IL, this Systems Administrator, Service Delivery will take the lead on small/medium projects in order to help develop client standards and technical configurations.
Daily tasks involve complying with Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, troubleshooting, user interfacing, as well as equipment set-up, installation, and inventory management. Must be available during off hours to troubleshoot any critical issues/incidents that may arise.
The qualified candidate will possess a thorough understanding of computer hardware and operating systems in addition to:
· Familiarity with local area networks, switches, routers, infrastructure cabling, and thin client technology (emphasis on Citrix Metaframe)
· Experience with lab instrumentation soft/hardware
· Impressive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Outlook
· Basic understanding of server hardware, configuration, trouble shooting, and print server functions
· Good communication (oral written), organizational, and record keeping skills
· Bachelor’s degree required
