Systems Analyst
- $70-$85k base + super
- Location: Sydney
- Library experience is highly desired
Our client is seeking a system analysts to join their team. This is not a quick moving role and interviews will likely take place at the start of December.
In this role you will be designing, developing and implement technology based solutions for Library systems and coordinate the effective integration of external, Library and other relevant systems and services.
Responsibilities
- Enhancing service provision to users
- Identifying networks and building and nurturing relationships and partnerships across the Library
- Providing leadership and direction to the Library in development
- Supporting Library IT and the Library in overall service provision as required during periods of high workload
- Identifying trends in the development of new systems and services for service provision in the Library and their potential impact/benefit to the Library
- Identifying and developing effective strategies for the management and continual improvement of Library systems with particular emphasis on applications and technologies to meet the future needs of the Library
- Prioritising projects, workflows and general resources to achieve departmental objectives within budget and agreed time frames
Experience and Qualifications
- Knowledge in Voyager (Ex Libris) or Triple I it would be highly regarded
- Strong experience with a proxy server i.e. EZproxy
- Degree in IT, information management or progress towards postgraduate qualifications OR extensive relevant experience and management expertise OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Extensive relevant experience in the implementation, support and management of Library systems, including integrated library management systems and related software, and knowledge of established and developing standards in this area;
- Experience in IT project planning and management to support the delivery of client focussed and strategic services
- Strong understanding of standard office software and demonstrated understanding and ability to use database systems to manipulate documents
- High level understanding of developments in the technical management of Library systems
- Excellent consultative and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and within a team
- Demonstrated high level understanding of and experience in customer/client service approaches
- Demonstrated highly effective leadership and team working skills within a complex environment
