We are looking for a Level 2 Systems Analyst for a 7-month Ontario Government Contract Opportunity located in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
· Interacting with non-IT client personnel on identifying and capturing business and functional requirements for the new system – targeted environment is Cognos;
· Reviewing data elements within the existing reports developed in the Paradox environment from the business functionality perspective and identifying data fields that need to be established within the Cognos environment;
· Developing system and design documentation and ensure that they are sound and are aligned with the OPS best practices;
· Demonstrating a reasonable and balanced perspective on IT capabilities vs. business demands in order to facilitate a development of the optimal solution
Qualifications
· 5-9 experience in system analysis and design;
· 5-9 years experience with and working knowledge of Cognos;
· 5-9 years of technical writing experience, including documenting business requirements, system functionality, and report design and data elements
· Experience in implementing data validation solutions
· Strong communication skills (oral and written) to facilitate an effective client engagement on the project.
Desirable Requirements
· OPS experience;
· Experience working with HR and/or ERP applications with the HR components/modules – OPS is using an ERP system based on Oracle PeopleSoft v 9.0
