Systems Analyst/Developer II
Job Summary:
Incumbent will develop, maintain, and implement web, mobile, and desktop applications to support the business functions within Our Sunday Visitor. The incumbent will participate in the development of documentation of programming procedures and practices. The incumbent will work with various departments, analyze their business requirements, and provide useful programming solutions that translate into potential cost savings for the company. The Incumbent will periodically lead small to medium projects and stay with those projects through their implementation.
Essential Job Functions (*=Non-essential tasks):
- Meet with functional experts to document and analyze business requirements
- Creating detailed design specifications from the business requirements
- Code, test, debug, and maintain web, mobile, and desktop applications including performing technical upgrades
- Create and maintain detailed system documentation including test plans which validate the system and ensure the system meets the documented business requirements
- Schedule, monitor and audit system and interfaces
- Install and configure IIS servers for different type of website requirements
- Ensure security of all websites and related applications
- Perform periodic website performance audits
- Lead small to medium sized projects for ongoing work requests
- Execute project balancing and appropriate change management techniques
- Participate in code reviews and provide input in support of coding standards and documentation procedures and practices
- Perform analytical work to reconcile and/or gather information
* Provide second level production support as necessary
* Perform other duties as required or assigned
Requirements:
Experience Desired:
- 3-5 years of previous programming experience in C# and Asp.Net utilizing Object Oriented Principles
- ExperienceKnowledge of JavaScript best practices, including use of JQuery and JSON for Ajax and rich client-side interaction
- ExperienceKnowledge of MVC, Linq, and T-SQL
- 3-5 or more years of previous experience providing functional and technical support to appropriate systems, with increasing responsibility
Education:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a Computer designated area or related field of study, or commensurate work experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong debugging and critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Networking
- Incumbent must have strong interpersonal communication skills including demonstrated success with oral and written communication
- Dependability, problem solving and adaptability skills
- Demonstrated multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills

- This position will handle confidential data, and confidentiality must be maintained
Working Environment:
· The incumbent will work within an office environment that will require extensive use of computer software and equipment
