Job Description: The desired candidate will support a program providing network operations and sustainment services (network management, information assurance services, training), network engineering services (network architecture, systems engineering, information assurance engineering, project management), and network information assurance services. The candidate: Provides enterprise level architecture, vision, strategy, problem anticipation, and problem solving for the system function to meet existing and future business goals. Develops objectives and sets technological standards. Anticipates industry future directions and relates to future architecture needs and projects. Remain continuously aware of business, technical, applications, information management and access, and infrastructure issues and acts as a consultant to aid in the development of creative solutions. *Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Responsibilities include overall design of the network architecture and design and development of solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Required Skills: Performs systems management and integration functions. Analyzes science, engineering, business, and system problems for application to network and telecommunication systems. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software. Incorporates engineering strategies for introducing new technology into customer's infrastructure related business processes. Develops future technology and architectural advancements to support architectural strategy, technology migration, and integration and evolution. Applies knowledge of enterprise IT needs to design improved processes, generate valid requirements, and ensures these are consistent with the Enterprise Technical Architecture (ETA) and Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA). Acts as an advisor and proposes changes to the ETA based on analysis of requirements and new technology. Required Experience and Education: Minimum 8 years, with BS in engineering, science, or mathematics; advanced degree preferred.
