Systems Business Analyst – HFM recruitment

A Senior Business Analyst is required to take responsibility for the delivery of the Reporting Process Redesign Programme systems changes. Applicants will need in depth experience of Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and will be involved in analysing and understanding requirements documentation, determining appropriate system design and solutions. In addition to this documenting systems design and specification, as well as some general coordination and quality control of the work carried out by the project’s development team.

The Application Configuration function is responsible for delivering a number of system initiatives as part of a Group-wide programme transforming the HSBC Finance function across the globe. The Global Finance Change Programme will deliver to the Group a professional, effective and responsive finance service at optimal cost, employing a common and transparent global model. These projects are being rolled out across all regions of the Bank, with regional representatives supporting the Central project teams in implementations locally.

The successful candidate will:

Have a high level of proficiency with HFM development and configuration (version 11 onwards prefered)

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analysis skills

Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle from requirements through to implementation

Ability to professionally and effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of management

Ideally have ACA or other accounting qualification

Have experience of working as a project Business Analyst in a medium to large organisation

Have Experience of working within a HFM development, configuration or administrator role

Proven experience in analysis, problem solving documentation and working to tight deadlines whilst achieving good quality outputs
