Systems Control Manager
A leading Investment Group is looking for a Control Systems Manager to join their Insurance business line within their Compliance function, based in their Midlands office. This global institution provides investment solutions across a variety of asset classes and they now have an opening for a role that will work closely with the groups Chief Operating Officer across a variety of Compliance and Operational issues.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Managing, overseeing and testing the operational systems and processes.
- Utilising policies, procedures and systems to identify and assess the probability and potential impact of any operational control gaps.
- Overseeing and supporting the development of vigorous control systems.
- Developing and managing a robust testing programme.
- Leading and developing any on-going training and support, ultimately improving the control management process.
- Maintaining regular reports to the COO on certain areas of focus.
- Overseeing the processes and systems aimed at identifying, controlling and reviewing any control inefficiencies, ensuring the appropriate action is taken.
- Reviewing on-going business changes, ensuring new processes and procedures are integrated into the businesses control framework.
- Liaising between operational functions and the regulatory risk teams.
- Acting as the main operational point of contact for internal/external audit teams, ensuring recommendations are comprehensively reviewed and implemented.
- Overseeing and reporting on the operations adherence to the training and competence scheme.
You will posses a broad level of operational Compliance experience within Financial Services, with strong knowledge of the Insurance market. Ideally, you will also have a solid understanding of the regulatory environment surrounding Insurance and Investment Management as a whole. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the COO of a globally renowned institution in a centralised function that will see you facing off to different business units on a daily bases.
