Description:
Systems Debug Engineer with 8-15 years professional experience (required) is needed to step into a long term senior level lead role to provide analysis and resolution of silicon/system issues against reference platform designs for customer development PC systems. You would be directly involved with pioneering hardware/software design improvements across a large internal and external customer base. The primary responsibilities for this role would be to define innovative test fixtures, experiments, diagnostics, and electrical analysis during silicon bringup. An acute knowledge/background of PC systems architectures (x86) and system hardware debug is a must to be successful in this position.

Requirements:
Bachelors EE/CS degree or equivalent combination of training plus 4-15 years lead-engineer experience in a computer system development and/or x86 system debug environment.

Requires a good understanding of all PC system hardware (CPU, chipset, I/O devices, etc) and software (BIOS, Driver, operating system) elements and knowledge of PC system architecture.

Verilog RTL design experience is a plus.

In depth experience w/ Hypertransport, DDR memory interfaces, PCIe, PCI, and/or PC I/O busses and the ability to rapidly learn new ones is preferred.

Experience with micro-architecture and debug of chipsets and/or CPUs would be a plus.

Requires effective communications, human interaction skills, a high degree of creativity and problem solving abilities.

Experience with Debug tools such as gdb, WinDbg, SoftICE
