Job Description:
We are looking for a Trading Systems Developer to join our subsidiary group. This key group provides us with exclusive hedge fund trading solutions!

What you need for this position:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT/Computer Science
- (5) Five plus years of experience in C++ development.
- Ideal candidate must have worked on other high frequency systems.
- 3 years of working for an Exchange or a Wall St. Firm a plus .
Qualifications:
- Full software development life cycle experience in a mission critical environment
- Experience in assessment, design, coding, testing and production support
- MUST have exceptionally strong C++ knowledge and debugging skills
- Excellent s/w design skills and knowledge of advanced data structures
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and socket programming
- Strong knowledge of multi-threaded, real-time processing distributed environment
- Worked on building LINUX based trading systems
- Strong knowledge of Object ORiented Programming Concepts
- Knowledge of the BOOST libraries and STL.
- Knowledge of multicast. Knowledge of 29West a plus.
- Experience working with a large code base.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and Perl a big plus.
- Knowledge of XML.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Must have financial experience in the equities or Options markets.
- Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology and always be on the lookout for new technologies that can help improve the product.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and design s/w applications to operate in a low latency/high throughput production trading systems environment
- Responsible for architecting, designing and developing applications
**The code you will be working on has to be highly optimized for maximum performance.
The major areas directed are:
- Translate business and technical requirements into extensible, scalable, and maintainable application.
- Work in collaboration with business rules group.
- Analyze user needs and determine technical requirement.
- Communication of plans and strategies across the team.
- Analyzing code for any bottlenecks that could slow down the core trading system.
