Sand Resources has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Systems Development Team Lead to manage development and support teams for a large Local Authority based in South London.

Our client seeks an experienced systems development lead to manage teams of 5-10 supporting and maintaining the organisation's key systems. Candidates need to be experienced in leading systems development teams within a large organisation. The role may not involve hands on technical work, but a good technical understanding will be highly desirable.

Systems Development Team Lead Role:

• Manage and deliver a high performing and effective systems development team service aligned with the ICT strategy and the Information Management strategy
• Software development and testing
• 2nd and 3rd line applications support
• Database administration
• Complex systems administration
• Report writing
• Systems analysis, design and programming
• Development project management
• Training needs analysis and design
• Requirements specification and process design
• Testing and implementation
• Provide effective and visible contribution to area of expertise, demonstrating the organisation's Values. This includes contributions to delivery of the organisation's transformation strategy.

Systems Development Team Lead Skills and Experience:
• Good knowledge of systems analysis and development, including - requirements definition, process charting, structured methods, prototyping, module and integration testing, software quality reviews, implementation and handover
• Good knowledge of development methodologies including Waterfall, RAD and Prototyping methods
• Good working knowledge of development tracking and performance management
• Up-to-date knowledge of new technology and development tools
• Ability to lead and deliver a range of development projects, tasks and activities of varying complexity
• Ability to manage and supervise development team activities
• Ability to demonstrate resilience when facing contradicting priorities or demanding workloads

Salary: £39,789 plus benefits
