Position Description

Systems Engineer for the Boeing Denver Engineering Center (BDEC), located in Aurora, Colorado. Create, update, maintain, and support release of Operations Products, including Required Operating Procedures (ROPs), command execution procedures (PROCs), and Console Manual Procedures (CMPs). Support Operations personnel for training and implementation of Ops Products. Support Discrepancy Report (DR) and PROC Integration Tracking Report (PITR) processes for resolving issues with, or identifying updates to Ops Products, including Root Cause analyses and all aspects of updates to Ops Products that may result. Support Thread-based evolution of Ops Products. Work with multiple development engineering teams from the Ops Product team perspective, incorporating engineering change impacts to Ops Products, and resolving DR/PITR issues that impact Ops Products. Support engineering review board processes. Support Test team efforts, particularly for development and Dry Runs of test procedures that are based on Ops Products. Provide support to mission activities (rehearsals, etc) as required.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration

Typical Education/Experience

Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience.
