Systems Engineer – Automation Developer (Linux, Scripting)
The successful candidate will be a part of the highly talented Core Services team. The Core Services team is responsible for developing solutions which directly affect the operation of our core Trading System. The team is responsible for driving standards across the IT team and has architectural responsibilities covering messaging, performance and infrastructure. There is a large scope to express your creative freedom and build solutions from the ground up. No idea is too large!
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain and upgrade the internal Continuous Integration System
- Integrate and build automation tools for software development lifecycle
- Develop tools for system monitoring and support
- Help troubleshoot performance problems, identifying and implementing solutions
What you offer
- University Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
- Strong Linux skills in a production environment (Redhat/Fedora preferred)
- Strong scripting skills (Perl, Python, Bash)
- Strong web development skills (JavaScript, php, SQL)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Extremely focused on automation and standards based solutions
- Confident individual with excellent interpersonal skills
- Thrives in fast paced working environment
- Boasts an impressive knowledge of open source software
