Position Description

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

Typical Education/Experience

Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

The candidate must be a US citizen and currently possess an active Top Secret clearance, an SSBI completed less than 5 years ago and ability to obtain SCI access. The position is contingent upon clearance verification and program/customer concurrence. Applicants MUST include their security clearance level, investigation type and investigation date clearly on their resume. Seeking a systems engineer to support a GEOINT development effort. Selected candidate will perform requirements decomposition, analysis, design, verification, and validation of application software for the national intelligence community following agile software development methodologies Basic Microsoft Office application (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) experience is required. Experience/knowledge of the geospatial domain and GEOINT systems is a plus. The work location will be at the Boeing offices in Sunnyvale, CA.
