Systems Engineer
A leading defence avionics company specialising in simulator systems, is seeking a Systems Engineer, to work on Visual display units and projector systems. Reporting to the systems and products engineering manager, STS UK, possessing strong engineering and project lead skills, this role is responsible for all technical and engineering related aspects of moderate-to-high complexity Visual Display projects.
Responsibilites/Requirements
+ Reporting to the systems and products engineering manager, STS UK, possessing strong engineering and project lead skills, this role is responsible for all technical and engineering related aspects of moderate-to-high complexity Visual Display projects.
+ Responsible for all technical aspects of the contracted system including: system definition, configuration, documentation, assembly, test, installation, integration, and final acceptance. Recognizes design defects and mediates sensible solutions when technical conflicts occur, particularly with customer expectations and system capabilities, and implements the appropriate corrective action.
+ Develops the technical program execution plan for moderate-to-high complexity Visual Display projects. Has primary execution responsibilities to ensure project remains within budget, on schedule and meets requirements.
Authority
+ Has the authority to liaise with all company personnel, at all levels, as appropriate to achieve the objectives, to provide full status reporting and to ensure the success of all technical projects being worked.
+ Has the authority and ability to work with engineering resource management to request work assignment and planning to satisfy project needs. Required to exercise considerable discretion in their decision making and to be fully aware of the consequences of any such decisions.
+ Has the authority to coach and mentor project team members in a manner appropriate to the project teams needs. Responsible for identifying to the resource managers any project related training needs for members of the project team.
