Systems Engineer

General Summary:

 To be one of the engineering representatives within McNaughton-McKay to work with Sales and vendors in the development of marketing and support activities for assigned product technologies.

 

1.       An engineering contact within McNaughton-McKay responsible for the sales support of assigned product technologies.

2.       Develop relationships with Sales and the decision-makers within the identified strategic accounts.

3.       Monitor the application and business trends implemented at the identified strategic accounts.

4.       Develop a marketing strategy with Sales to promote the sales of assigned product technologies at the identified strategic accounts.

5.       Develop assigned product technologies solutions that address the application trends at the identified strategic accounts. 

6.       Utilize customer relationships and documented activities to leverage the value-add activities provided to the identified strategic accounts. 

7.       Establish business relationships with vendors of assigned product technologies as the technical liaison for customer sales and support.

8.       Identify new technologies and vendor partners in order to help capture new revenue.

 

1.       Manage the availability and the identified strategic account requirements for the assigned product technologies.

2.       Work with ESG to ensure the quality and long term viability of VTG Solutions.

3.       Train the Inside Sales and technical support personnel on the assigned product technologies.

4.       Educate and support the Sales Staff on the assigned technology products.

5.       Develop and maintain the information and support infrastructure required for the assigned product technologies. (Feasibility studies, tech support calls, CRM, etc .)

 

1.       Qualify the level of assistance provided to customers with product and integration issues.

2.       Create proof of concept documentation for assigned applications

3.       Travel to customer locations when necessary to determine technology requirements for applications.

4.       Develop the vendor service/support strategies for the assigned product technologies.   

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1.       Bachelor of Science degree, Engineering experience desired

2.       Five years of professional experience considered in lieu of degree requirement

3.       Thorough knowledge of assigned product technologies

4.       Proficient controls and computer communication skills.

5.       Proven analytical, organizational and communication skills.
