Data Protection Consultant - Large Tech Services Company

If you are a Data Protection Consultant with experience, looking to be part of a fantastic quickly growing Professional Services Team in a Massachusetts company, please read on!

We are a large professional services firm with Fortune 500 clients. Due to growth, we are currently hiring for an experienced data backup and storage engineer to manage multiple projects and be hands on with the implementation of storage and backup solutions for our clients. You will be working on mid-sized to large high profile projects.

What you need for this position:

- Good documentation skills
- Plan and/or manage small to medium projects
- NetBackup 6.5 and higher (single master, multiple media servers, 1500 clients)
NBU for VMware, Oracle, Vault, OST (OpenStorage), NDMP
- DataDomain (Replication, DD Boost)
-NetApp FAS Series (FAS3140 or higher/newer), Multipath HA
- Able to plan configuration and analyze performance for the FAS series
SnapMirror, SnapVault
- Linux (RHEL 5 and higher), Windows (2003 and higher)
- Knowledge of Isilon, EMC Celerra/Clariion, Symantec NetBackup
- Brocade fabric management and zoning, SAN Fabric performance tuning, QOS, ISL trunking, Long distance ISLs and/or CWDM/DWDM, dark fiber experience
Quantum StorNext File System and Storage Manager experience
VMware ESX (4.0 and higher)

What you'll be doing:

-Supporting and managing the storage and backup infrastructure
- Be onsite with a team of consultants responsible for operating the client’s storage and backup environment, implementing new technologies, and optimizing the existing technologies
- Required to maintain product and vendor certifications
- Continually updating documentation
