Job Description:

RME SEIT Infrastructure Engineering is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer.

The Infrastructure Engineer will provide processes and design approaches with a specialty focus on the planning, design and integration of complex computing systems to support the development, testing, operations and maintenance of a Raytheon deliverable system.

The Infrastructure Engineer will:

"¢ Oversee the architecture, design, procurement, and manufacturing of the Environment Tools

"¢ Manage the COTS SW/HW product baselines and evolution across the program to maximize commonality and ensure smooth/organized upgrades

"¢ Manage/engineer tech refresh/obsolescence issues across environments

"¢ Design program environments

"¢ Design/Engineer and support heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations, and numerous COTS and custom software applications

"¢ Provide design documentation as required via current program and functional processes

"¢ Help design security features, such as system hardening, into the deployed system

"¢ Ensure common processes are in place and followed

"¢ Support Detailed Rolling Wave planning

"¢ Support Integrated Master Schedule creation and updates

"¢ Support Earned Value management and reporting

"¢ Support material procurement management and reporting

Required Skills

  • Strong analytic and research skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrated experience implementing computer security

  • Ability to effectively interact with external personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations

  • Ability to communicate problems and solutions to customers and management

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationship with all levels of the organization including other IPTs

  • Experience in technical leadership, working with internal and external customers with minimal direction

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent written and communication skills

  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite

  • Have at least 2 years experience in industry

    Desired Skills

  • Experience supporting/managing Windows Server 2000/2003/2008 Systems and supporting applications

  • Experience supporting/managing Virtual Environments in an enterprise environment

  • Experience conducting and participating in technical review meetings with internal and external representatives

  • Experience supporting/managing current versions of Solaris and Linux OS

  • Experience managing/supporting storage solutions

  • Experience working in an environment with Change Control (CCB/ERB)

    Required Education

    BS/BA in Engineering (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Physics, Math), or 8 years equivalent experience if non-degreed.
