A Global Defence Organisation based in the North West is seeking experienced Systems Engineers for an initial 12 Month contract.
This piece of work has a unique and lengthy development lifecycle and is a rare opportunity to work on a major design and development Programme for the UK MoD. You will be delivering Systems Engineering work for the next generation of Nuclear Submarine, on a Programme currently in the early design phase.
Job Description
Specifically you will be responsible for the analysis / capture and management of Systems Requirements from the customer and translating these into workable Specifications. Tasks will include:
- Requirement analysis and management
- Controlling Customer specified requirements
- Managing Project derived requirements
- Recording and tracing 'flow-down' of requirements into product specifications
Skills / Experience Required
- Ideally candidates will be BEng (Hons) / MEng qualified in an Engineering Discipline (or similar) OR have equivalent relevant experience.
- Sufficient experience to be able to identify all the issues involved in their area of responsibility
- Basic understanding of the challenges posed by the environment that the product will be exposed to
- A general understanding of the manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and testing processes used within the business
