Job Qualifications (basic job description):

Aurora is seeking leaders in the development and execution of programs within a systems engineering framework. Such a framework

applies equally to UAVs under development and enhancing legacy systems.

 

Specific Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will provide leadership of the Systems Engineering Integration and Test Integrated

Product Team for a UAV development program, with an emphasis on system safety, reliability, and risk management. The candidate will: develop aircraft system and subsystem requirements and ICDs; perform failure modes and effects analyses; manage subsystem design verification analyses and test plans; create integrated system verification test plans and required analyses; identify and track system risks; develop program risk mitigation plans; develop certification and airworthiness plans; support program cost and schedule planning; provide interface with customer and regulatory authorities. 

 

Minimum Requirements (education and experience):

·         5-10 years of related systems engineering experience in aerospace or defense

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s degree preferred)

·         An ability to work independently, takes initiative, and thinks “outside the box”

 

Highly desired:

·         Proven success in taking designs from concept through fabrication and integration
    and testing

·         Experience with UAV design or system operations

·         Experience in aircraft certification or DoD acquisition process

·         Hands-on experience with aircraft, mechanical, or electrical systems.
