Systems Engineer Job in North Syracuse 13212, New York US

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Provide technical systems support to customers and sales personnel on current and future network, storage, unified communications and data center products.  Perform systems design, configuration, management, and integration functions.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Provide answers to questions regarding product lines and applications via conference calls with sales

personnel and customers.

·         Analyze problems, research probable solutions and provide network redesign suggestions as needed.

·         Assist customers with equipment problems.

·         Resolve hardware or software conflicts with TERACAI products and their existing systems.

·         Contact customers on defective or damaged products they wish to return.

·         Administer technical RA’s.

·         Make recommendations for customer systems based on information obtained from the customer coupled with information from TERACAI systems.

·         Acquire and maintain vendor certifications necessary for core job responsibilities and overall corporate needs.

·         Provide onsite technical support to customers.

·         Perform equipment configuration work as needed.

·         Travel Required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

·         1-3 years prior experience in networking including but not limited to routing and switching, voice, wireless and data center technologies.

·         Cisco Certifications preferred.

·         Understanding of OSI model.

·         Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.

·         Ability to work collaboratively with engineers who support a variety of projects and customers.

·         Demonstrate strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.

·         Proven multitasking abilities.

·         Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the job and the company core values.

·         Proficient in MS Office.
