This Lockheed Martin Enterprise Business Services (EBS) leadership position is part of the Specialty Engineering Skill Center team and serves as an example for embracing and demonstrating Lockheed Martin's Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives. This position will be the Skill Center Manager for a team with approximately 20 employees in the Specialty Engineering Skill Center.
Work location at a major Lockheed Martin site in the United States is Required with Orlando Fl and Littleton (Deer Creek Canyon)CO, sites strongly preferred
This is not a Telecommuting Position.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Provides oversight of specialty systems engineering professionals, skill center day-to-day operations and relationships with Engineering Manager counterparts
* Ensures integration and consistency in the execution of EBS Systems Engineering Process across all programs, projects, and services where personnel are deployed
* Develops and implements strategies and plans to certify and qualify EBS systems engineers to the level required by the business
* Develops and implements plans to execute knowledge sharing, best practice identification, and capturing of lessons learned across EBS specialty systems engineering professionals
* Develops plans and assists in the successful maturation and integration of Specialty Engineering disciplines into EBS programs based on roles and responsibilities specified in a Standard Engineering Process (SEP)
* Works with engineering and program counterparts to understand technical strategies; develops learning and development plans to ensure systems engineering workforce is trained and equipped to perform required tasks.
* Provides leadership for all employee actions and cycles (Performance, Merit, Promotion, Talent Planning, etc)
* Integrate, Develop, Analyze, Test and Document systems in the overall support of the EBS Infrastructure, Desktop, and Application domains strategy.
* Provide systems engineering and Standard Engineering Lifecycle support
* Provide Leadership, mentoring, training and guidance to less senior Engineers
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM Certified)
- Experience with 'Black Box', 'White Box' and 'Agile' testing methodologies and techniques
- Experience with 'design-to-test' and 'develop-to-test' methodologies
- Experience with HP Quality Center and CaliberRM tools
- Proven significant experience with a Standard Engineering process, Software Development Life-cycle (e.g., Agile) methodologies and COTS Integration and test
- High level of professional technical acumen with a wide variety of operating systems, tools and technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Unix/Linux) illustrated through previous work experience
- Knowledge of Architecture, Systems, Performance, Security and Test Engineering
- Knowledge of Metrics and Process Engineering
- LM21 Green Belt or Black Belt
- Knowledge of LM internal IT services
- Familiar with GRID, EPRS, SAP Financial systems
- CMMI for Services or Development
