Position Description

Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

This position has responsibility for the 737NG Boeing Commercial Airplanes Regulatory Administration group. The position has responsibility for team planning and managing activities required to demonstrate and find Federal Aviation Administration compliance for airplanes to be delivered. Must have knowledge of and ensure adherence to BCA Regulatory Administration processes as well as all pertinent regulatory agency requirements while supporting Airplane Programs goals. Proven integration and communication skills, as well as demonstrated experience in team leadership are required. This position interfaces with Regulatory Administration Functional leadership, Program Engineering, Safety/Certification/Performance communities, FAA Boeing Aviation Safety Oversight Office and foreign regulatory agencies. This position also partners with core engineering on process requirements and implementation. Collaboration with Everett Regulatory Administration is a regular activity. Abilities for staffing, developing and motivating employees are necessary to ensure the team is able to facilitate on-time delivery of compliant aircraft. Engineering experience is required and engineering degree is preferred.
