Systems Manager

Leading FTSE 100 company at the forefront of IT technology require a Systems Manager for a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will have a strong background in IT service change management preferably for a large manufacturing, utility or pharmaceutical organisation and therefore be accustomed to a regulated business environment.
You will be responsible for defining and prioritising new IT project demand and service needs and maintaining the pipeline of work under the guidance of the Business Systems Manager.
You will manage the expectations of the customer and therefore have a detailed knowledge of an area’s business processes and systems, helping to shape decisions on business change and IS investment, supporting process re-engineering / business change in that business area.

You will work directly with the Business area management at both a Senior and Operational level to:
Establish Service requirements in line with Business need
Plan for new Service Requirements as a result of business change at both a tactical and strategic level.
Monitor and review ongoing service performance including formal and regular review of service performance with Business management.
To ensure successful, right first time IS changes are implemented by:
Direct involvement with all Projects for the respective Business area, specifically with Project Managers, and Operational Assurance Managers.
Direct involvement with operational change management, negotiating and agreeing any/all business impacting change.
Producing Identifications of Need (ION), Preliminary Requirements and outline options, costs and benefits.
Developing and supporting initial business cases for IS investment, with preparation and support for obtaining ICG approval.
Providing advice on IT and IS policies, and relevant standards, methods and procedures.
