Salary; £30k to 40k depending on experience
Location; Lancashire, North West
My successful and growing client is seeking an enthusiastic Systems Manager who can take ownership in the systems area and help develop the new projects/platforms which my client intends on bringing online. Ideally this individual will be from a similar ISP/Telecoms environment where you have operated at a senior level and looking for the next step into a Systems Manager post. You will have proven skills in giving direction to team members in the use and enhancement of relevant systems, mainly Linux.

Linux Distributions - CentOS and BSD
Server/Hardware builds
Backups and Restore
Exim Internet Mailer
Apache Web Server
MySQL and Clustering - experience with high availability clustering Nagios/Netsaint, Munin and Solarwinds - proactive system and network monitoring Virtualisation - Ideally within a GNU/Opensource environment Strong knowledge of Networking Fundamentals IPTables, ACLs, Security/Penetration Testing
