Wells Fargo Merchant Services specializes in providing solutions such as credit card, debit card, check guarantee and gift cards to businesses of all sizes. WFMS is nationally recognized for its ingenuity and reputation as a leader in the electronics payments industry. The functional tester will work closely with the existing team to test other Wells Fargo Merchant Services applications to enable Merchant Services to increase the quality, speed, and volume by which enhancements flow through the development pipeline. Roles and responsibilities include: Assisting with functional testing of Wells Fargo Merchant Services applications Maintaining and executing a disciplined systems quality assurance approach Managing and coordinating project testing activities and timelines to meet release dates Working with existing test engineers to assist in test strategy development Performing moderate to complex analysis of business requirements and technical design documentation to effectively create and execute test scripts Performing moderate to complex test data conditioning, regression testing and testing validation Logging, tracking, and verifying resolution of software and specification defects Creating and preparing test plans, test scripts, and critical test artifacts for each release Communicating and partnering with users to share information and clarify instructions May provide guidance to less experienced analysts. The position will be located in San Francisco, CA or Walnut Creek, CA. There is no relocation assistance being offered and no opportunity to work from a remote location. Basic Qualifications: 5+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years IT quality assurance and systems/application testing experience Ability to write SQL scripts Demonstrated knowledge of all of the following quality assurance methods: unit, system, user acceptance, regression, user interface automated testing Self-directed, pro-active, self-starter who excels in an environment with limited supervision High level of organization, detail oriented and ability to work well in a high-pressure environment Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to work at both detailed and abstract levels Ability to diagnose, report, track and resolve quality issues Ability to communicate clearly in writing, by phone, and in person Ability to manage multiple priorities and demonstrate flexibility Ability to identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve the process Collaboration and relationship-building skills with business partners both within and outside of the business unit Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Tools: Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Team Foundation Server, Visual Studio Test Suite Demonstrated proficiency with testing tools: HP Quality Center, HP Performance Center, Quick Test Pro, ClearQuest Defect Tracking, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Requisite Pro 1+ years experience with Visual Studio Test Suite and Microsoft Team Foundation Server is preferred Wells Fargo is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V. �© 2012 Wells Fargo Bank, N.A.
