Your Opportunity at Intuit: The Intuit Tax Engineering Division is seeking an established Quality Assurance Engineer. To ensure product functionality complies with system specifications, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test plans and test cases for specific areas of the system. You will also be responsible for thoroughly testing the product through all phases of development life cycle (Unit testing, regression/integration testing, end-to-end testing). In addition to performing root cause analysis you will be expected to provide a balance of breadth and depth of coverage for your testing areas. If required, you will develop and execute automated test scripts. As a member of the QA team, you will be expected to contribute to refining our Best Practices to ensure that the highest product quality is maintained from release-to-release. Quality is defined as contributing to solutions that deliver a high quality end-to-end customer experience with a high degree of compliance with business and process documentation. You will be required to independently produce defect descriptions that rigorously quantify the problem to a high degree, identify the scope and impact of a problem, and conduct additional analysis to identify defect cause and scope. You will be responsible for scheduling your own time and quality completion of multiple tasks within a varying environment with changing constraints. Additionally, you will be required to work with various cross functional teams to ensure issues are addressed quickly and with quality results. You will be required to communicate product readiness, level of quality, and results to Quality Assurance Manager and the project team. Your Talents: -BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience -3-5 years Java development experience required -Strong Systems Engineering experience -Capable of designing and coding object oriented SW using programming languages (e.g., Java, C++, etc.) -Experience with, Test Complete, Perl, and SilkTest -Technical skills with Java/J2EE, Junit, Jmeter, portal/portlet, Jboss, Unix -Strong interpersonal skills -Good written and verbal communication skills required -Self directed and highly motivated -Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment -Experience with distributed systems, and HTTP are a plus Learn more about our award winning workplace and how we give back to our local and global communities.
