Systems Support Engineer Job ID: GCSD09111007 Systems Support Engineer - Colorado Springs, CO - GCSD09111007 Description: Systems Support Engineer Colorado Springs, CO GCSD09111007 Job Description: · Performs help desk services providing 24/7 Telephone support for vital equipment and problem resolution/troubleshooting to provide fault isolation and recommended corrective actions. · Plans and schedules Depot Level Inspection/Depot Level Repair activities to include planning, analysis and implementation for customers involving equipment, personnel, scheduling, cost, and technical reports. · Provides short notice Fly-Away support as required to analyze and resolve system issues to include willingness and ability to travel overseas. · Develops and maintains Vanishing Vendor (obsolescence monitoring), Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action Reporting (FRACAS), and List of Repairables programs. These programs should include analyzing technical data, failure analysis reports, and original equipment manufacturing notices to determine/formulate recommendations regarding system sparing, repair cycle venues, failure corrective actions, and sustainable replacement items. · Maintains and updates Technical and Field Manuals. Additional consideration given to candidates with Technical Manual development to include COTS Manuals, User Manuals, and Technical Manuals. · Provides supply support through material research, ordering, warranty tracking, packaging, handling, storing and transporting. · Conducts repair cycle maintenance of material by verifying failure, indentify repair avenue, tracking repair status, and performing repair verification testing. · Provides technical training for new and upgraded systems to ensure customers can operate and maintain systems under sustainment. · Defines and develops logistics maintenance requirements for sustainment programs. · Provides technical/administrative direction and guidance to system engineering and program management of sustained systems. Candidate will supervise subordinate System Support Providers. · Cost Account Leader for logistics activities supporting sustainment operations Qualifications · Bachelors degree in a technology field with 3 years relevant experience required, an Associate s degree in a technology field with 7 years relevant experience required, or graduation from a military or commercial electronics course, and at least 11 years relevant experience required. Preferred Additional Skills · U.S. military Satellite Communications (SATCOM) operations and maintenance standards familiarization desired. Additional consideration given to candidates with actual SATCOM experience; preferably mobile SATCOM experience. · Life-Cycle Cost, Provisioning Analysis, Trade-Off Analysis, Sparing Analysis, and Reliability Analysis experience preferred. · Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions among function
