Harrington Starr is currently partnered with a leading Financial IT outsourcer who is currently looking to hire a Systems Support Engineer, in order to support their Hedge Fund client base as well as internal IT systems.
If you are successful in your application for the Systems Support Engineer role you will have to carry out the following on a daily basis:
* Providing day to day support to all of their clients in the Hedge Fund space
* Supporting the company system structure as well
* Building Microsoft servers and Exchange servers
* Maintaining the smooth running of all desktop infrastructure and applications both internally and externally
* Trouble shooting issues on the following technologies; Citrix, Active Directory, Windows Exchange Server and VMware
My client is currently growing rapidly, increasing their client base by 70% last year and looking to dramatically increase their market share again in the next 12 months. Due to the fact that they are still not fully established in the UK you have the potential to progress to senior management rapidly. As a result of the necessity to grow rapidly and out compete other Financial IT Outsourcing firms they are currently investing massively in their IT infrastructure. If you are selected for the role not only will you be based in Mayfair but you will be using the world's latest IT such as windows Exchange 2013.
In order to successfully apply for the Systems Support Engineer role you must have the following skills:
* Previous experience constructing Windows Exchange server
* Excellent SQL and database skills
* Extensive experience on VMware
* Extensive experience using Active Directory
* Extensive experience using Citrix
* Previous experience on financial applications such as Reuters and Bloomberg is preferable
* Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with clients
