Systems Support Specialist


Location: Chicago, IL

Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Experience Required: At least 4 years

Position Description:
BASIC FUNCTION: This position is responsible for serving as the department’s technical and business expert in design, development, troubleshooting and testing of systems to support business needs on assigned financial or procurement system modules. Designs, develops and tests interfaces, upgrades, and system enhancements. Works closely with IT and serves as liaison between technical and functional areas, translating business needs into implementation requirements. Provides training to end users.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1)Bachelor Degree in Business, Liberal Arts or Information Systems OR 7 years business experience;
2) 4 years experience with ARIBA spend management system or similar financial or procurement systems;
3) 4 years experience with PeopleSoft Financials or other financial systems,
4) PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
5) Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills;
6)Analytical skills, including data analysis and reporting, research and documentation;
7)Available on a flexible schedule, such as weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1) Financial or procurement systems development, implementation and support experience;
2) Skills for interpreting or repairing SQL, AQL, HTML and Java code;
3)Financial background;
4)Knowledge of procurement systems including Ariba and PeopleSoft.
