Essential Skills as a Systems Test Engineer:
· Automated Testing
- Knowledge or varied platforms: Windows, Unix, Linux, and z/OS.
- Attention to detail and methodical approach
- Driven to be successful
- An excellent trouble shooter, both technically and procedurally
- A highly effective communicator who is able to explain complex technical issues
- You must be ready to undertake a limited amount of travel to work with colleagues, customers and partners
· Education to a degree level – ideally in Computer Science
· 1-3 years experience with software development
· Enthusiastic about testing
Highly Desirable as a Systems Test Engineer:
· ISEB Qualified
· Experience with Agile
· Web Services
· Relational databases, such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.
· Knowledge and experience of CICS, IMS or JCL internal design.
· Experience of Silk Performer, Modeling and implementing a load tests, results analysis and collaboration.
· Architecture and design skills for system-level software.
