Job Title: Systems Validation Technician - Storage
Location: Roseville, CA
Duration: 4 Month W-2 Contract
Compensation: Based on Experience
POSITION OVERVIEW
· In this role as a Storage Systems Validation Technician, you will join a team of professionals in validating state-of-art devices with embedded processors, real-time firmware and state of the art software driver capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Function as part of a team of system validation engineers technicians to validate and release storage software/firmware products for storage markets
· Execute manual and automated test cases using validation tools
· Follow assignments from the Functional Validation Test Plan (FTP) for storage products
· File problem reports on defects found to enable the program team to track validation efforts and product quality
· Perform basic debug of the systems to assist in problem identification and resolution
REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
· 1+ year of software/firmware system validation and/or SQA
· Experience in computer hardware debug
· Experience in storage technologies, such as SAS/SATA, SCSI, Fibre-Channel
· Experience filing comprehensive problem reports
· Effective communicator (verbal and written)
· Highly motivated, sets personal goals, and achieves goals without supervision
· Works well in a high stress continually changing Validation environment
· Knowledge of Windows, Linux and VMware Platforms
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience in storage protocol validation such as SAS/SATA, SCSI, Fibre-Channel
· Experience with HBAs and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures
· Knowledge of OS driver architectures in Windows/Linux
· Experience with Server Hardware debug
