Duties Responsibilities:

·         Define and implement industry best practices in the verification of electronic systems.

·         Participate in pilot production builds for knowledge hand-off/transfer and process validation.

·         Develop, execute, and document test plans to verify system level functionality, performance and compliance.

·         Participate in 3rd party formal certification test facilities.

·         Assist Design Team members with Qualification of their designs prior to Critical Design Review.

·         Be a key contributor to the planning and enhancing of AV test capabilities.

·         Develop, execute and document test plans to verify algorithms at system level.

·         Some component of support for legacy/fielded products.

·         Document and track system level issues and bugs to closure.

·         Define, develop and maintaining automated test setups and test script libraries

·         Participate in and assist with field testing as required.

·         Provide mentoring and leadership to junior team members

 

Qualifications:

·         8+ years of system level verification experience

·         Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Electrical/Computer Engineering degree, College Technologist or Technician or equivalent experience is required

·         Verification experience in wireless technology and/or signal processing required

·         Proven experience developing automated test-suites

·         Knowledge and experience in various scripting and programming languages

·         Experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers and other standard lab tools

·         Experience with bug management and revision control systems

·         Good interpersonal skills

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         May be required to work evenings and weekends to support Field applications and testing

·         Working knowledge of Mil-Stds, 810, 461, 1275 would be an asset.

·         Possession of or ability to obtain Canadian Government security clearance to the level of Secret II
